On The Road

(Dress--Soul; Leggings--H.U.E.; Black Flats--Celine; Cropped jacket--Mango)

The weekend saw me taking the longest bus trip of my life to Davao to take care of family matters. Eight hours! I'm usually a very tolerant hag but no, the bus driver, who was running at what felt like 40 kilometers per hour, made me squirm. Hay, why didn't I take the 45-minute plane ride instead? TOINKERS. Thank goodness the sisterazzi was there to drive us back home. The weather was alternately wet and dry so the cropped jacket was perfect for the temperature changes. I love my new dress which looks like a shirt tucked inside a black skirt but it's actually a onesie. No fuss at all.

Photos of the trip after my random fame-whoring of the lyrics to Kings of Leon's Use Somebody (I'm in love with the song):
Off in the night, while you live it up, I'm off to sleep Waging wars to shape the poet and the beat I hope it's gonna make you notice I hope it's gonna make you notice Someone like me Someone like me Someone like me, somebody...

The fruit that smells like hell but tastes like heaven. Durian.

I love rain, it's like the anthem to my melanchoia.

Only in the Philippines--overloading is not the worst safety rule violation
Lunch at the roadside restaurant. On the menu: Catfish. This is the yummiest fish adobo I have ever tasted. I wanted to kidnap the cook. Can I?

Pinoy meal. The one I would always identify home by.

Ok, off to work I go.
