Today former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo turned over her duties as Commander-in-Chief to the new President-elect Noynoy Aquino. My friend Tin and I had to witness the inaugural event that marks the beginning of the next six years of our history.
The day started with a free MRT ride to United Nations Avenue Station, followed by a breakfast of slurpee and hotdogs...Ah well, MOVING ON TO THE OUTFITS! (which is the whole point of going anyway, aside from the display of optimistic and patriotic sentiments I share with Tin, among other things as Man Yann's kikiam, MickeyDees Coke Floats and 7Eleven spicy hotdogs.)
(Top--Mango shirt; Black Pants--Mango Suit; Shoes--Crocs; Owl Ring--alabang Independence Day Bazaar. Chain Curtain Necklace--SM)
Before the muddy prima crocs, I had my military green sandals on but because I wanted to save them from premature destruction via the wet lawn at Quirino Grandstand (where the presidential inauguration took place) I made the switch. Please, do not look down farther than the pants if you don't want nightmares of ugly shoes chasing you.
Here's Tin making her debut guest appearance in this blog.I am drooling at her maryjanes.
On our way home, we spotted this young boy posing oh so very poignantly that he looked like he was begging for a shot. Public transport never looked this kawaii. Hahaha. Ang fierce ng hair!
Tartanilla guy also wanted to pose for us and we obliged. He honestly thought we were citizens of some exotic country. What gives?Happy Wednesday everyone!
God Bless our country!
